A native of Kenner and a resident of Slidell, James graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of New Orleans in 1993 and a Master of Science degree in Accounting from the University of New Orleans in 1995. He concentrates his practice in the areas of income and estate taxation planning for closely-held businesses and accounting system consulting for small to medium-size companies.

James is an active member in the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants and has served on various committees at the state level. He served as President of his local chapter of the Society of Louisiana CPAs in 2001-2002. James is a member of the Estate Planning Council. James is also a former Adult Leader in Boy Scouts of America. James and his wife, Patricia, have five children.
